HELPFUL TIPS FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD CLASSES:
Classes incorporate dance fundamentals with music exploration, imagination and movement to develop muscle strength, coordination, rhythm, body awareness and self-expression.
This means young students are also learning to listen, follow directions, take turns and other important life skills .
Students should arrive at least 5 minutes early so they can line up and enter the classroom as a group.
This helps minimize any separation discomforts.
Parents/Guardians are asked to wait in the studio lobby for the duration of class to assist with potty breaks.
Instructors are unable to leave the rest of the class unattended.
Parents/Guardians are invited into the classroom for ONLY the last 5 minutes of each class to observe or participate.
One goal is to teach independence. Children learn at different rates and it can be disruptive to the process when some students have an “audience” and others don’t.
In most instances the instructor is able to diffuse meltdowns, but we also understand that everyone has bad days now and then.
If your child is having one of those days, you’ll be notified so we can work together and decide how best to help them through it.
